Tellico Pearl Earrings
Grab these earrings while they are in stock. This popular style has a history of selling out.
Tellico was the largest town in the region (Tennesee) and was once the capitol of the Overhill Cherokees. written Talikwa (Syllabary: ᏖᎵᏉ). Tahlequah, the current capitol of the Cherokee Nation is derived from the name.
The Tellico Earrings are a modern take on ancient tradition. Shell and pearl were traditional adornment of the Cherokee and ancient mound cultures. Pearls are formed when a the shellfish is injured. In this case the shell encases the pearl.
We do our best to match the shell pearls for color, but because this is a naturally made item no two shells are exactly the same. All of our jewelry is handmade in our studio in Oklahoma.

Love pearls, these are what I like.
I love these earrings for many reasons, they are my birthstone,, made by people of my heritage, and I can wear them with the Three sisters necklace. I learned that my staple silver earrings do not match go with the cooper on the Three sisters necklace so I will be purchasing a staple pair of cooper earrings to wear with the three sisters earrings. I will also be returning to purchase he necklace to go with these earrings. I am so happy that I have discovered Cherokee copper jewelry makers. thank you for sharing your heritage in jewelry that other descendants from the Cherokee can wear with pride of our heritage.
