Is Cherokee Copper made from real copper?
Yes. We use solid, traditional copper in every cuff and bracelet never copper-plated or imitation metal. That's why our pieces develop a genuine patina over time instead of flaking or fading.
Is Cherokee Copper Native American owned?
Yes. We're a Cherokee family of artists working out of our home studio near Tulsa, Oklahoma. Every cuff is designed and made by members of our family, honoring a craft passed down through two generations.
How do I adjust a copper cuff to fit my wrist?
Copper is naturally soft and flexible. Gently open or close the cuff with your hands to fit your wrist, a little at a time until it's comfortable. Most of our cuffs are made to fit an average wrist and adjust easily from there.
Can I wear a copper cuff every day?
Absolutely! Many of our customers do. Daily wear is part of what gives copper its rich, natural patina over time. If you'd rather keep the bright, polished look, a quick wipe with a soft cloth will do it.
Will copper turn my skin green?
Some people notice a temporary green mark from copper's natural reaction with skin oils, it's harmless and washes off easily. Many people also believe copper offers a comforting, grounding feeling when worn close to the skin.
