The Story Behind the Cuff:

When Greg first began making jewelry, he started with a simple copper bracelet. Everywhere he went, people asked where he got it. Finally, after much convincing from Lisa, Greg started making them for others. Ten years later, Greg still wears the same cuff he made in the beginning, showcasing its durability and timeless appeal.

Greg has now passed this tradition to his son, Joshua, who continues to handcraft each Ross Cuff with the same dedication and love. This cuff often sells out, and it's easy to see why. It's not just a piece of jewelry; it's a piece of our family's history.

How Do I Care For My Copper Jewelry?

The Best way to care for your Copper is to wear it often  The natural oils from your skin will keep the copper, and pearls nice and shiny. Copper will acquire a beautiful patina over time. We feel that the patina is part of the natural beauty of the metal.

As much as possible do not wear your jewelry when working out or doing any heavy physical activity that will cause excessive sweating.

Clean your copper jewelry with a soft cloth if dirty you can use some liquid dish soap.

If you prefer, you can coat the metal with clear fingernail polis to maintain the shine.

Why Does Copper Sometimes Turn My Skin Green?

Have you ever noticed a green tint on your skin after wearing copper jewelry? That is a chemical reaction between the copper, oxygen and the sweat on your skin. The process is called oxidization and is your body's way of absorbing the copper. Copper is an essential element and your body needs it. If you skin is turning green it is your body's way of telling you that something is missing.

We typically notice this happening on hot days when when we are working outside and sweating. What can you do when this happens? Luckily the green washes off easily with soap and water. You can also coat your copper with clear fingernail polish and this will keep the green away. Of course some of our customers see the green as proof the copper is working.

Heirloom quality piece

The Ross bracelet made a handsome gift for a Cherokee descendant. He put it on immediately, saying the craftsmanship and design are pleasing to the eye and th cuff is so comfortable a design, and this is an architect talking, he doesn't notice it...except for the admiring glances. I'm pretty sure I need one, too! Love it!

What a great testament!
And yes the cuff is so good that people often end up buying more than one,
one to keep and one to give!

Love it - haven’t taken it off!

I was worried it might be too small, but it’s a perfect size. High quality craftsmanship and the hammered texture is already starting to patina in a beautiful way in the lower areas. The higher areas are still the reflective shiny copper and I love the contrast.
