Connect to the deep roots of Pre- Mississipian and Mound Builder cultures that dotted the Southeastern United States.

Our Shell Gorget mirrors the iridescence of the aurora borealis, a stunning spectacle of light and legacy that radiates with every turn. Photographs do not do this piece justice.

With only eight exclusive pieces available, this necklace is as unique as your personal story.

Traditionally, gorgets were worn by the Cherokee as symbols of status and served not only as ornamental items but also as protective amulets.

These historical pieces were more than mere adornments; they were emblems of identity and culture, often engraved with symbolic motifs significant to the wearer and their community.

In wearing our Shell Gorget, you embrace an artifact steeped in the pre-European contact culture, crafted with a reverence for the skilled hands of our ancestors.

You are not just buying jewelry—you are investing in a slice of history, skillfully made by Cherokee artisans celebrated for their work.

Wearing it speaks of your respect and passion for authenticity and cultural continuity. It's a choice that says you value handcrafted excellence over mass-produced trinkets.

For the distinguished woman with an eye for art and a heart for heritage, this Shell Gorget is not just an accessory—it's a piece of Cherokee soul, waiting to be cherished by you.

All of our jewelry is handmade in our studio in Oklahoma.  Please allow 7-10  days before we ship. Need something faster, choose Front Of The Line Shipping at Checkout. This option allows you to skip to the front of the production line. Standard shipping times apply once shipped

How Do I Care For My Copper Jewelry?

The Best way to care for your Copper is to wear it often  The natural oils from your skin will keep the copper, and pearls nice and shiny. Copper will acquire a beautiful patina over time. We feel that the patina is part of the natural beauty of the metal.

As much as possible do not wear your jewelry when working out or doing any heavy physical activity that will cause excessive sweating.

Clean your copper jewelry with a soft cloth if dirty you can use some liquid dish soap.

If you prefer, you can coat the metal with clear fingernail polis to maintain the shine.

Why Does Copper Sometimes Turn My Skin Green?

Have you ever noticed a green tint on your skin after wearing copper jewelry? That is a chemical reaction between the copper, oxygen and the sweat on your skin. The process is called oxidization and is your body's way of absorbing the copper. Copper is an essential element and your body needs it. If you skin is turning green it is your body's way of telling you that something is missing.

We typically notice this happening on hot days when when we are working outside and sweating. What can you do when this happens? Luckily the green washes off easily with soap and water. You can also coat your copper with clear fingernail polish and this will keep the green away. Of course some of our customers see the green as proof the copper is working.
