The story of two wolves - is the basis of our most popular cuff design. We are excited to offer it in a slimmer version. Our Riley Cuff is a perfect size for a man or woman to wear.

Our copper cuffs are untreated and will take on a beautiful patina with age. The best way to care for it is to wear it.

The story of the Grandfather and his grandson goes like this.

"Once upon a time, there was a Cherokee grandfather, who told his grandson, “Grandson, there are two wolves inside of me. One wolf is white, good and altruistic, generous and kind, and the other wolf is black, mean and greedy, violent and angry. The two wolves are in a constant fight within me.” The grandson, with wide eyes, says, “But which one will win, grandpa?” And the grandfather says  “The wolf you feed.”

Wear this 5/8” cuff daily to remind you to feed the right wolf. Remember it is not just enough to starve the bad wolf you must feed the good wolf daily with good thoughts, and deeds.

Each cuff comes packaged in a beautiful box with a muslin bag and and a story card.

You can find the complete Wolf You Feed Collection here.

How Do I Care For My Copper Jewelry?

The Best way to care for your Copper is to wear it often  The natural oils from your skin will keep the copper, and pearls nice and shiny. Copper will acquire a beautiful patina over time. We feel that the patina is part of the natural beauty of the metal.

As much as possible do not wear your jewelry when working out or doing any heavy physical activity that will cause excessive sweating.

Clean your copper jewelry with a soft cloth if dirty you can use some liquid dish soap.

If you prefer, you can coat the metal with clear fingernail polis to maintain the shine.

Why Does Copper Sometimes Turn My Skin Green?

Have you ever noticed a green tint on your skin after wearing copper jewelry? That is a chemical reaction between the copper, oxygen and the sweat on your skin. The process is called oxidization and is your body's way of absorbing the copper. Copper is an essential element and your body needs it. If you skin is turning green it is your body's way of telling you that something is missing.

We typically notice this happening on hot days when when we are working outside and sweating. What can you do when this happens? Luckily the green washes off easily with soap and water. You can also coat your copper with clear fingernail polish and this will keep the green away. Of course some of our customers see the green as proof the copper is working.

Riley Wolf You Feed Cuff?

I purchased the Cuff and the Surprise Earrings and I am in love with both of them. My Bestie loves the earrings, and I wear my Cuff everyday. I just need to find the imbalance within myself to keep the copper from turning my skin green. I have referred Cherokee Copper to all my family and friends and I will be making some purchases for Christmas. I love how they put so much care into there jewelry and into their customers.

wedding gifts

sent to a couple in Rome and they LOVE the cuffs… the wolf and four directions. they do not have a Native American culture in Italy, and they appreciated the Cherokee story so this was a good gift.
