Abalone is a richly colored shell whose colors remind of the shimmering light on leaves in the forest and on rivers at dusk. The purples and greens swirl together, much like they do in these Abalone necklaces.

5/8" Abalone

18" copper chain

. Each pendant is unique and one of a kind!

Abalone shells are traditional to Pacific coast tribes.

Cherokees would have used the trade routes to trade for Abalone Shell.

No two shells are alike, yours may differ from what is pictures.

How Do I Care For My Copper Jewelry?

The Best way to care for your Copper is to wear it often  The natural oils from your skin will keep the copper, and pearls nice and shiny. Copper will acquire a beautiful patina over time. We feel that the patina is part of the natural beauty of the metal.

As much as possible do not wear your jewelry when working out or doing any heavy physical activity that will cause excessive sweating.

Clean your copper jewelry with a soft cloth if dirty you can use some liquid dish soap.

If you prefer, you can coat the metal with clear fingernail polis to maintain the shine.

Why Does Copper Sometimes Turn My Skin Green?

Have you ever noticed a green tint on your skin after wearing copper jewelry? That is a chemical reaction between the copper, oxygenand the sweat on your skin. The process is called oxidization and is your body's way of absorbing the copper. Copper is an essential element and your body needs it. If you skin is turning green it is your body's way of telling you that something is missing.

Small Nantahala Abalone Nechlace

The hue on the shells are quite attractive and alluring to look at. I spent a lot of time looking at the necklace and earrings. I really like that set. But, did also like larger piece abalone corset. I will try to get that and another necklace set.

Might be my new favorite from Cherokee Copper

I like all of my jewelry from Cherokee Copper. This new small Nantahala Abalone necklace might be my new favorite. I love all the colors in the abalone and how the copper necklace compliments the pendant. It’s a beautiful necklace. WADO
